Marissa and I have done some thinking this last week and have decided to go ahead and tie the knot before she leaves. We're just going to have a small ceremony in our home church with the priest and our immediate family. We're planning on having the big public ceremony and reception upon her return.

It is with deep sorrow that I report the passing of a truly great man. Marissa's grandfather, a WWII vet and a very admirable man passed away the evening of Nov 25, 2006.

Since Marissa and I became engaged, we've been on top of the wedding planning. We had guest lists already made out, had the church and priest locked in for the date we wanted (June 23, 2007) and were busy trying to pick our reception location. We were actually out and about today meeting with representatives from a few facilities seeing exactly what they could offer us. In fact, we think we found exactly what we were looking for in the Holiday Inn. It has a beautiful ballroom and an even more stunning pavillion area which we both liked. We were considering reserving it for our wedding date and putting down a deposit before the end of the day.

Oops. Almost forgot. I'm 28 today. Yay for old people and gray hair.

Today, I asked the girl of my dreams to be my wife and she said, "Yes!" Marissa Pelky, the nerdy, obnoxious, childhood girlfriend from my Jr. High School years will soon be bossing me around, rationing my paycheck, and making my life miserable.
